System process using 99% of CPU

Some time ago I reinstalled one of my client's computer. Shortly after the installation the computer feels slow. Even very slow for the newly completed computer installed Windows XP SP3. Though the drivers and other applications yet to be installed. Includes AntiVirus, which generally takes a lot of CPU.
Once I checked, it turns out the cause is a process "System" (opened in Task Manager) taking 99% CPU. Honestly, first time I experienced a strange occurrence like this.
Soon silence I immediately look for the solution of this problem on the website, forums, and various other media. Some sosuli makes sense, but after it tested the results remain the same.
Then I tried to see the return process "System" with Process Explorer. Right-click, then Properties. I saw a thread a little jangal, "ACPI.sys". At first I thought this is malware that has gone in the computer or the Windows CD I owned, it turns out this is a driver.
Then I stop this thread to get into the BIOS and disable ACPI service. Restart the client computer and then I went back to normal.
